...helps to identify gaps in ICT capability agianst a set of agreed criteria. These criteria can be personal, school, EA, national, or based on a standard eg European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL), Microsft Office Specialist (MOS), etc.

CPD in ICT^TM

...is EdICT's online ICT training and CPD system. It offers personalised catalogues of ICT training materials and associated resources to address the CPD needs of individuals or group. Materials are developed specifically with an educational context in mind, but can be tailored for any discipline eg educational, health, commercial, legal.

CPD Portfolio

... is EdICT's personal refelction tool for recording CPD activity against personal, local and national criteria.

The CPD opportunities target key up-to-date ICT skills that staff need, including:

• using and producing online learning materials eg creating school web sites
• presentation skills eg using digital projectors and interactive whiteboards
• use and production of multimedia eg using digital cameras and scanners
• communication skills eg using email and forums
• management of learning
• developing good ICT habits
• ICT for Additional Support Needs

CPD opportunities are available in 3 delivery modes

... which can be blended to meet your specific requirements.

• Face to face : We have a team of training advisers (all former educational staff) who can deliver face-to-face training sessions. These can take place at a suitable central venue or in your school.
• Online supported self study : EdICT recognises that pressures on schools and staff mean that it is not always possible to attend face to face training sessions. EdICT also offers an online self-study mode for many of our opportunities.
• Local mentor option : As with our NOF programme, we are offering the option to train local mentors, who, in turn, will receive full training and support in the delivery of the opportunities in the CPD in ICT. This builds on the expertise in your school or local authority.

As with all of our programmes, we work actively with your education authority to ensure that our programmes are integrated with your local CPD and staff development provision.
